What is the 6 Month Smiles Procedure?
The cornerstone of the Six Month Smiles System is the Patient Tray Kit™. The Patient Tray Kit is customised for each patient This includes Six Month Smiles Lucid-Lok® brackets and wires and much more. The clear brackets are precisely positioned on models by bracket specialists and included in custom bonding trays to ensure quick, predictable and delegable placement of the braces on the patient’s teeth. The brace uses a small amount of force to shift teeth into position. The support that the 6 Month Smiles procedure delivers is unparalleled and is specifically designed to make the patient’s experience as stress-free as possible. After the procedure has aligned the teeth, retainers have to be worn to ensure the teeth do not return to their original position akin to traditional ‘train track’ braces. Once the brace is fitted certain adjustments may be made until you reach the stage in which you must use a retainer and after this stage is completed then the procedure is complete.
